Maybe i did not read the documentation all that well but finaly i’ve found it.
Adding the tag “featured” in Customizer did not do the trick
activating Jetpack neiter
After i added the same tag in every single post it went well….

Just to clarify how Canard works:
– Canard displays up to five featured posts above the rest.
– Choose a tag, like the word “featured” and add it to the five posts you’d like featured.
– Activate Jetpack
– Add your selected tag (i.e. “featured”) in the Customizer’s Featured Content panel.
You don’t need to add the tag to every post, only add it to the five posts (maximum) you’d like featured.

That’s right, you do need to add the tag to all five posts so the theme knows which five posts you want to use in the Featured Content section.
