• I am using My Calendar on a multisite installation, all users contribute to the central calendar. I want to limit each child site’s view to just two locations. I am trying to do it this way, as given by the shortcode generator:

    [my_calendar ltype="event_label" lvalue="location1, location2" format="calendar" time="month" above="print" below="nav,jump,feeds"]

location1 and location 2 are two of my 16 managed locations.
I am not getting any events at all on my calendar (but if I select just location1 or location2, they I can see events for just that location). Not sure if I’m on the right track or not. Any assistance is appreciated.

I purchased the user’s guide, but I’m not finding a solution there, either. But I *love* the user’s guide for other info!

My Calendar doesn’t support a method to display multiple locations quite like that. What you can do, however, is narrow by a different field which selects multiple locations. The ‘region’ field mostly exists to allow you to create custom collections of locations according to your own needs, so you could use region as your type and a single value to display events for the two locations.

I’m not finding information in the user manual for how to define the regions. Could you provide some guidance? Thanks!

I’m not sure I understand the question. You need to edit the location, and add a value to the “Region” field. Use the same value for any locations you would like to group together.

I’m sorry – I’m doing a poor job explaining! Our multisite is for a school district and a number of individual schools. We want district-wide events (no school days, for example) and a school’s own events (cookie fundraiser, for example) to display on each school site. When I add the values to the region field, I can only add one region to the district’s main location. I’m running out of workaround ideas. Thanks for any guidance you can give.
