• I discovered Waymark and really like it. I intend to display a blog using Waymark. The way I imagined it would be that I would create a map for the first day (upload a GPX file). The next day another gpx file, etc. To show the trip I thought I would use collections to show all the maps. But that doesn’t work for me, it shows several maps but separate from each other.

Thanks in advence for help, best regards, Jo

    Hi @jo4711,

Thanks for reaching out. Waymark was designed for things just like this! πŸ™‚

That’s weird. Does this only happen when zoomed out this far? Are you embedding the Collection using the Shortcode (i.e. [Waymark collection_id="1234"]) like this?

Would it be possible for you to provide a link to your site, or the GPX files in question so I can take a better look?

    Cheers,
    Joe

    Hey Joe

I would like to open an account for you on my installation so that you can take a look at it yourself. How can I send you the information? Can I have your email or should I send the info to [email protected], can you fish it out there???

    Cheers, Jo

    Hey Joe

I have removed the login, you can access the site without login. Maybe you can find why the display is not working properly. https://jo-black.com/skandinavien2024addon/

    Can I have your email

Please do not ask people to post their or post your own email again. If the developer wishes to they can post a contact URL. They are under no obligation to do that though.

or should I send the info to [email protected]

That, of course, won’t work and will go nowhere.

    Hi @jo4711,

Thanks for the link, I will take a look. Just to confirm – the strange issue in the first map (zoomed out to two different earth Maps), is that the only problem you have encountered? As I notice there are three Maps and the second is blank.

    Cheers,

    Joe

Yes, it’s about the first map, which is the collection of two maps. She would like to give you admin rights so that you can see everything. Maybe I made a mistake in the settings.

    Hi @jo4711,

Does this issue persist after changing the Shortcode Method in Waymark Settings > Maps > Collections?

Yes, the problem remains, even though I changed Shortcode Method from Background to Embed and then created a new collection.

    Hi @jo4711,

I am seeing the same results on my setup with your data. I will have to investigate further as I am yet to figure this one out! … very strange.

As a possible work-around, instead of creating two Maps and then displaying a Collection you could try adding all Overlays to a single Map and then displaying that. I tested this and it worked as expected.

I hope that helps and thanks for your patience!

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hey Joe
Thanks, I’ll do that if necessary. But we still have time until the end of January. Two or more cards would definitely be better. Less risk of destroying something when editing on the go.

    Cheers, Jo
