Hello, I noticed that when I change the page on my site, I see the entire area hidden by collapse-o-matic appear very quickly (but still visible) … is there a way to correct that? Thank you

Yes, you can apply the targclass attribute the value of maptastic like so:

[expand title="trigger text" targclass="maptastic"]hidden content[/expand]
