• Apologies for the pedestrian question, I am new to ZotPress. Please feel free to point me to existing descriptions/discussions.

I would like to display a library and enable readers of my website to sort and/or filter it by a number of criteria: language, tags, format (book/article), etc. So for example a user who only reads English and is interested in publications that cover topic A and topic B should be able to generate one bibliography, and a reader who reads English, French, and Russian and is interested in publications covering topic B and topic C should see another one.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Of course I could just create a long series of different pages, each of which pre-filters or pre-sorts the bibliography in a certain way. But perhaps there is a more elegant option?

I guess I want readers to be able to sort or filter the bibliography the way they would if they had access to my local Zotero interface or to a group on the Zotero webpage, but through an interface that is specific to my website and does not require a login or software installation.

  • I would also like to be able to do this–is it possible?

I don’t think there’s an easy way to do this at present — you could start with the library shortcode, which filters by tag and collection, but it would definitely require customization.
