Displayed 3 times for post excerpts

    Hello,

    Great plugin to start with.

    Works fine for posts. In the preview (excerpt) however, the tag is displayed 3 times !
    1. above the feature image
    2. above the content
    3. first line of the content.

    If I disable in the settings for excerpts, nothing happens and the tag is still there. When disabling for the content, the tag is dropped from the excerpt & content.

    I had a look at the code but I couldn’t spot an error. I want the tag to be displayed only one for excerpts.

    Any idea ?

    Hmm. If disabling for the excerpt isn’t doing anything and it is displaying multiple times that makes me think your theme is probably using the_content filter multiple times.

    What is the theme you’re using?

    Hi Jason,

    Using “Taylor” theme from templatemonster. I know that the plugin is adding the extra line in the content subject everywhere. But the excerpt seems fine to me. Will have a deeper look into this.

    Your plugin is compatible with version 4.7 or 4.8 ? Does it work for you ?

    Anyway, this is a problem that the content itself is modified. When you share for example to LinkedIn, the reading time gets shared too as part of the article. Not great.

    I think that I will use your plugin for the admin settings, css etc., but call the display code only for posts without modifying the content itself. Seems a more correct way to code this thing !

    Seems that another user was having the same problem of having the plugin displaying everywhere.
