The guidance suggests that: “you only turn this feature on once you have a good number of followers/likes/shares (min. of 20 – no worries if it’s not too many, it should just not be 0).”

How would I know the number of likes / shares etc if the count is switched off?

    Many thanks

Thank you for your question. You can either switch it on to check (on the front-end), or enter your url on https://www.sharedcount.com/ to see how many shares you have.

Note that this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/ provides the option that the counts will start to display automatically once they reached the threshold you defined.

Hi. Many thanks for your reply.

When I check at sharedcount.com it shows a number of ‘shares’. But on my website they are all registered as ‘likes’.

    How would I fix that?

The “share” count (definition given by Facebook) is an aggregate of shares, likes, and comments, not just the shares.

In the Premium plugin, you can choose to display the Facebook counts by choice, either on the Like button or on the Fb Share button.
