Displaying Posts on a HTML Site

Hi,

I’m a complete newbie to wordpress.

I am looking for a way of displaying the first few lines of a wordpress blog post on a standard html or php web page which when clicked will take you to that post.

Is there a simple way this can be done without too much scripting or maybe anything off the shelf i can use at the moment?
