There currently isn’t a way to do this, but you have brought up a good idea! I will work on implementing an extra label field for items to display in the list (overriding the default label that is generated from the content). This shouldn’t be too difficult of a task so keep an eye out for an update in the near future.
I decided to bust this out and have released an update already. You’ll now see a “Label” field that you can populate with a custom label to show in the list.
