Weird problem. I have a Siteground site I inherited that uses among other things Divi. One column of a row on a page has disappeared. It’s not just invisible, it’s not even in the page source. When I disable or enable any installed plugin except Slim SEO and reload the page, the missing column appears again until I reload a second time, when it disappears again. When I disable Slim SEO, the column comes back permanently. There’s a conflict with Slim SEO somewhere.

I suspect a problem with the Divi theme/builder. I tried rolling Slim SEO back all the way to 3.14.2 but that made no difference. I would have to ask someone else to downgrade the Divi theme.

Ever seen anything like this? I’d like to continue using Slim SEO on this site.

    Hi @swb1 ,

Slim SEO auto generates the meta description from the post content, which in this case of using Divi, from the Divi content. The process of generating meta description might have some issues as Divi requires JS or something to parse the shortcodes.

In this case, I’d suggestion 2 solutions:

Ignore shortcodes that causes the problem. You might want to manually check which shortcodes cause this (or contact us to check that for you). We’ll add these shortcodes to the plugin to help others to get rid of the same problems.
    – Enter the manual post excerpt or manual meta description. Once the post excerpt or meta description is entered manually, the post content (Divi content) is bypassed, and thus, don’t cause any layout issues.
