I recently added your SMTP plugin and activated it on my website. I get this error, “warning icon
    DKIM
Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the DKIM record required by Google has been added to your domain. Please check out Google’s DKIM guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.”

I am using a Gsuite account and have the same email in the plugin whenever an email was requested.

After reading through some other tickets, please help me understand…

What I need to do is go into Google and activate DKIM and then put this into my DNS. This is something your plugin can’t accomplish which is why I get this error and must do this additional step myself.

I found instructions for this here: https://support.google.com/a/answer/180504

The reason I’ve never seen this before is that I have always used a free Gmail and, on that type of account, your plugin doesn’t do these checks, or at least show the warnings.

    Do I understand this correctly?

    Hi @barnesmg,

Thanks for reaching out! Currently, the WP Mail SMTP plugin does not have a way to recognize custom DKIM selectors, so you will see a warning when sending a test email.

However, you can safely ignore those test email warnings if you have already configured your Google Workspace email platform with the correct SPF and DKIM records.

In case it helps, you can send a test email to this online tool to confirm your SPF, DKIM records.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
