I’ve read the tutorial for pages but I couldn’t get the meta description to work I guess. PageSpeed still says that: Document does not have a meta description.
Although it’s there manually written, it doesn’t appear in their SEO results.

Do you see meta title and meta description tags when viewing the source code of the page? Have you cleared the cache to make sure the page is not cached?
Yes I see it in the source code. And I had cleared the cache before too. I even deactivated the litespeed cache plugin and ran a new test to be sure it wasn’t it. Still no meta description for me.
With the source code open, I navigated through the site and noticed that the meta descrition doesn’t work/appear on other pages too.
I’m confusing. In one reply, you said “I see it in the source code”, and in the other, you said “the meta descrition doesn’t work/appear on other pages”. So it is available or not?
By the way, have you enabled meta description in the Settings > Slim SEO > Features tab?
I saw the code in “Home”, but it still returns no meta description available in PageSpeed result: SEO

I see somehow the meta tags are pushed to the
<body>instead of<header>. It happens for all other meta tags, not just SEO tags from Slim SEO. I guess there’s a problem with your theme. What’s your theme?Can you send me the info from your WP admin > Tools > Site Health > Info?
Yes, I noticed that too, the tags were in the body. I’m using Blocksy, and your plugin is referenced in their list.

@rilwis For me, as I activate ELEX WooCommerce Discount Per Payment Method it goes from <head> to <body>.
I see. That plugin outputs some inputs in the
<head>in my test, and breaks the structure of a proper HTML document. Here is a reference to the code that output hidden inputs in the<head>.In this case, I’d suggest you contact the plugin’s author to ask them to fix this bug, as their code is bad and affects other plugins. Or you can switch to another plugin to avoid the issue.
As this is not related to Slim SEO’s code, I’ll close this thread here.
