Does Blocks CSS add extra functionality after WordPress 7 block-level CSS

    Hi,

    I’m considering using the Blocks CSS plugin, but I noticed that WordPress 7 / the latest block editor update now includes custom CSS editing for individual blocks.

    Could you please clarify whether this plugin still adds any extra functionality compared to the native WordPress block-level CSS feature?

    For example, does it offer better CSS management, compatibility or anything else that is not possible with the built-in WordPress feature?

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing!

    Indeed, the latest WP version brings in the option of adding Additional CSS to each block.

    While pretty similar, the Blocks CSS plugin offers a few more options like:

    • syntax highlighting and linting (error checking)
    • possibility of adding media queries for responsive control https://vertis.d.pr/i/kZcVd8
    • nested CSS elements
