does changing ftp password affect wp login

    I had to change the ftp password on my website. I don’t remember whether I had to put in the ftp username/password to setup WP, but after changing the ftp pw, I get HTTP error 500 whenever I try to login to the WP admin

    Assuming your hosting provider doesn’t tie your WordPress password with your ftp password, you will be fine, WordPress dose not require ftp, it’s just easier to use it.

    WordPress doesn’t know your ftp password, so you should be safe.
