Does “download” count as a post type?

Hi there,

I’m trying to use Download Manager on a site at the moment in conjunction with WP Types and WP Views.

I can use WP Types to add custom fields to the Download post type, but when I try to create a view which displays the downloads, they don’t appear in the Views menu (I see posts, pages, media and projects; which is a custom post type in my theme).

I was just wondering whether this plugin creates ‘Downloads’ as a post type, or whether it deals with them another way?
