    This plugin literally came as a relief after I have struggled with many comment management systems. I was having problems with ‘Subscribe to comments reloaded’, which so far had come closest to what I was looking for. This plugin has finally hit the bill, and I have no need to hack into php files to get it to work how I want.

    The most important improvement for me is that people can get notifications of replies to their comments only, and admin can select the default option: all new comments, or replies to my comment only. In ‘subscribe to comments’ this wasn’t possible.

    Big thanks to the plugin developer for getting WordPress comments up to speed.

    I just wanted to leave a note here to let you know that all features and bug fixes from WP Comment Subscriptions have been rolled into the latest version of Subscribe to Comments Reloaded, along with a new import routine that will automatically import all of your WP Comment Subscriptions data and options.

    I’ve halted development of WP Comment Subscriptions and I’m now focusing on improving the Subscribe to Comments Reloaded plugin, as I’ve been added as a core contributor to that plugin. Please see further information here: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-comment-subscriptions/changelog/

    It all sounds for the best. I did seem a slight shame to take a great plugin and have to fork it because development on it seemed to have died. Good news that you’re now in the team for the core plugin.
