Does image optimisation also optimises other image sizes?

    In WP there are original images and different versions according to image sizes defined by the theme. I have re-cropped manually some of these image sizes to better fit my theme, and want to avoid regenerating image sizes from their original version .

    I wonder how the image optimisation tool work: does it optimize all pictures in the upload folder (ie originals and image sizes?) Or does it treat originale and then ask WP to regenerate image sizes? Or does it treat only the original?

    Hi Agnes,

    WP-Optimize will compress all images within your “uploads” folder. It will also automatically compress files automatically when uploading a file to your media library.
