Does it work for post categories?

Hi, I just purchased Blog Designer Pro, because I want to have 2 post categories. According to this https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/layout-on-different-pages-with-different-categroies/ and this https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/two-blogs-one-website-1/ the premium plugin supports this.

Let me be clear what I want:

I have 1 page (blog) and 2 post categories (category1:news and category2:recipes)
I have post#1, which should be in “news” category.
I have post#2, which should be in “recipes” category.

In my menu, I have the tab “news” and the tab “recipes”

However, blog designer pro works does not work for categories.
It works only if I have “blog” on my menu and all posts mixed together.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong.
