Does NextGen auto create galleries?

Hi, quick question:

Does NextGen automatically create galleries from blog post images? I’m wanting to avoid placing a gallery after the fact and instead have it create a gallery from the images uploaded to a blog post. That is, rather than displaying thumbnails in a post, create a gallery from the images without having to place a shortcode for each post.
