Hello,
What specific error did you encounter while uploading the backups?
By default, a WPvivid backup zip is named as yourdomain.com_wpvivid-xxxxxx.zip, it will be recognized as a backup created by WPvivid plugin.
Please note that the plugin currently is unable to recognize the renamed backup files. If you have manually changed the zip name, kindly revert it to its original name.
Furthermore, the method for migrating WordPress via upload is also available in the free version. For further information, please refer to the documentation.
Kind regards.
To clarify, WPvivid exclusively generates compressed backups in .zip format, allowing for easy restoration using the plugin itself.
I was trying out Zip something or other to see if it would work for one of my clients. Using WPvivid, I completed the backup and saved to my desktop. I then installed WPvivid on the clients site and when I tried to import the backup file, I received an error that WPvivid does not accept this file.
I’ve been using WP for 20 years now, and I know that sometimes things don’t work due to a variety of reasons.
It’s not a terrible outcome, I found out what I needed to know. I just deleted the plugin and will continue on with UpDraft Plus.
Hello Paul Oyler (@flash-mcdirt),
Again, as the developer, we confirm that WPvivid Backup Plugin supports zip files and this can be witnessed by thousands of users of this plugin.
Maybe you should consider deleting this meaningless review as well.
All the best,
I’ve tried to delete it but I can’t find a delete link or a trash icon.
