It’s possible a recent change in WordPress 5.0 has stopped this from working but for the time being, are you able to disable all plugins except for BNFW and re-test this? It would be good to rule out a conflict with another plugin first.

I currently have the same problem and was wondering about this.
I disabled the following emails/notifications
User Email Changed – For User
Password Changed – For User
But I still receive them.
It would be great to get a way to disable these emails.

They should be fixed in the next update.

This should now be fixed in the latest release, available as of yesterday.
