I wanted to hide the templates menu from users with lower level access then admin or author. It does not work at all. The menu still shows is there anything else I can try because I really don’t want that menu showing.

Could you elaborate on what you tried?

In general, to hide a menu item from certain roles, you’ll need to set the capability to something that those roles don’t have. For example, roles “below” Author – that is, Contributor and Subscriber – usually don’t have the publish_posts capability, so you could try that. If the item that you’re trying to hide is a top-level menu, you would also need to repeat that process for each of its submenu items.

The templates menu is another menu that elementor has added to the admin menu. I did try setting it for admins only, then I tried logging in with a lower level account but it did not work. But I will try again.
