    In the following form all the fields are required, but if when sending any field is empty, it does not indicate in red which field the error is in, only the generic message appears below “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later. “:

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, bbPress, BuddyPress, Duplicate Page, Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights, WooCommerce, WP Mail SMTP, and Yoast SEO.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    However, and if it helps someone, I think that I have solved the problem installing the jquery-validation-for-contact-form-7 plugin
