Had the same problems with 2.1.47 and 2.1.48: No matter what the setting, everyone had access. With 2.1.46 it’s fine. Any news on an update to fix this bug?
Version 2.1.47 had a bug with the following setting enabled:
Permissions > Settings > Core > Permissions > Post-assigned Exceptions take priority.
My testing showed that version 2.1.48 fixes the issue. However, if you still have problems, just disable that setting to return to 2.1.46 behavior. There are not other changes in the newer versions which would affect your permissions (multisite or not).
