Email addresses and message are never saved/stored on PrintFriendly servers. This data is encrypted and sent to the data processor used to immediately send and not stored.
It’s a major limitation with the excerpt.

As long as you can’t do this your plugin is not 100% GRPD across Europe.
GDPR(not BRPD) requires a lawful basis, in this case it’s “legitimate interest”.

GDPR isn’t about alerting people, or even requiring consent, it’s legal process about gathering, storing, sharing data.
We are not storing data. I repeat we are not storing data. Email address is used to immediately send the email and not stored. This is literally “legitimate interest” according to GDPR.
Lastly, I’ll add that GDPR isn’t about covering your ass, or annoying end users with endless meaningless opt-in forms. It’s about how you handle data. In our case we use the data for legitimate purpose and don’t store.
