Is it possible for you to paste the error logs after trying to access the plugin on a WPEngine site ? That would really help!

If you need share that data please use https://gist.github.com/ or https://pastebin.com/ instead and post the link to that paste.
The forums don’t work well with large data dumps. I suggest pastebin.com but please make an account there. It will make it easier for you to delete that later if you choose.
I get the following on the browser console
Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'files') at FileManager.js:2:4635
Please update the plugin to v8.3.
Note that the minimum required PHP version for the plugin is v7.4.0+

Working well with new v8.3 for WPEngine site.
Another site hosted on Cloudways was also throwing error (https://imgur.com/a/D3eMMev). It was fixed by enabling ‘Direct PHP File Access’ under application settings.
