I have tested this theme on my dev system – no problems, all is working.
So why it is not working for you? The most common problems now: old jQuery version loaded by plugin or javascript errors on site. Check javascript console for errors!

As I can see this slider is not a standard WordPress widget!
However you can try to stick it using Custom HTML IDs list.
The slider ID is: cool-carousel1wg8kf

You have to define top and bottom margin (on the plugin settings page).
Top margin about 100px, bottom margin about 750px
