you can use the UPDATE button to copy over all data from the production site to the live site. This will overwrite your staging site, so take care when you use that feature.

What do you mean by un-optimize? Is this a WordFende feature?
What happens if you don’t un-optimize? Please give me know exact error you get.
Hello, Thank you so much for this. I found the update button but I am having a hard time excluding the overwriting of certain files. You can go over to this support topic to get a detailed idea of the Wordfence clone site setup requirements for Siteground sites or any other hosts where manual Wordfence configuration is required. Apparently the folders/files affected that would need to be wordfence-waf.php (and any of its subdirectories) and the php.ini file too. There is also an auto_prepend_file declaration involved with this and idk if that would mess anything up when updating the cloned site or if I’d need to exclude anything else.
I am having a hard time finding these files and their directories on the folder/file exclude list for the update settings. Any way you could point their location out to me? And any way you could clarify if the auto_prepend file setting would be an issue with the firewall for updating the cloned site?

I see. You need a filter to exclude certain files from the cloning/updating.
At the moment WP Staging only gives you the option to exclude specific folders and it does not allow you to exclude certain files. So this is something we need to implement.
I will add your request on our to-do list but beg for your understanding that I can not provide you with an ETA for this.

Oh okay then, thank you for the update. This is rather disappointing and it sort of breaks the plug-in for me and probably for many others too. Wordfence is one of the most popular plugins for security and many hosts require manual setup for firewall optimization like I do. Excluding files would be required since I don’t want to have to spend half an hour re configuring my firewall every time I want to update my clone site. I hope that they fix this soon then.
