Does the free version make automatic postage purchases?

    I would like to confirm that the free version of this plugin does not make automatic postage purchases with Shippo. My best guess is that automated purchases are strictly a pro feature, however, the note next to the sandbox mode makes me unsure:

    It would also be handy to know if toggling the sandbox mode checkbox forces the plugin to use my Shippo test API token instead of my live token.

    Does the free version automatically purchase postage through Shippo?

    No — the free version does not buy or auto-purchase shipping labels. It only provides live carrier rates at checkout, so no postage will be billed to your Shippo account when using the free plugin.

    Automatic or one-click postage purchases are available only in the Pro version, where the label-purchase workflow can be configured.

    What does the Sandbox Mode setting do?

    If you enable Sandbox Mode and enter your Shippo Test API Token, the plugin will use the Shippo test environment. That means:

    • It connects to Shippo in “test mode”
    • Any rates are returned from the test accounts and may not match real rates

    If Sandbox Mode is disabled, the plugin will use your Live API Token.
