We’ve just had a major issue: Both the Facebook and Google Tracking stopped suddenly working. Fortunately, is was very easy to fix. Complianz was deactivated. Now, the problem is: I’m pretty sure that I did NOT deactivate it. At least, I didn’t do it on purpose. After reactivating, the plugin showed a pending update that was NOT shown when it was inactive. Which is strange, too. Does the plugin sometimes deactivate automatically, for example due to compatibility issues?

    Thank you!

    Hello @cutu234 ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Our plugin does not deactivate itself automatically under normal circumstances. The only situation that could potentially lead to an unexpected deactivation is a crash, in which case WordPress may automatically disable a plugin to prevent further issues.

If that happened, there should be a related entry in your site’s error log. If you can locate it, please feel free to share it here, we’ll be happy to take a look.

In any case, there’s no need to worry, all current versions of the plugin are stable and safe to use.

    Best,
    Antonio

    Thanks Antonio!
No big deal. It’s not worth wasting our time. Maybe some glitch or I was sleepwalking. 🙂
No complaints about the plugin. Works like a charm.
