Unfortunately, we don’t yet have reference transactions fully integrated into the plugin. We do have plans for that, but it may be a couple of months before it’s done.
Sorry I don’t have better immediate news for you. If it’s something you can’t wait on and you can’t find another option you could submit a quote request for and we could discuss getting it done for you.

It’s not officially included yet, but we do have somebody working on this full time now, so updates are going to coming more quickly now.
If you are using Payments Pro then reference transactions would be available, but you would just have to process the future transaction through the PayPal transaction details page.
With Express Checkout we need to tie in billing agreements.
