Does this plugin use background processing?

    Hi, I’m using “add from server” to import media from ftp, but slows the website while processing a huge numbers of photos, about 700. It works at the end, but is slow and when the plugin is running I’m not able to do anything else on my web site. I have a shared vps with 3gb of ram and 4core. It’s not a server problem.
    I would to know if this plugin use a background processing or if not, should be possible to run it in background?

    Sorry for the late reply – No, the plugin does not use background processing and is not designed to import a lot of items at once.

    It’d be possible to run in the background, but that won’t be implemented as this is an ancient (~11 years old) plugin which I no longer offer support for or work on new features for.
