Does wpDiscuz use the default wp-comments-post.php file?

Akismet recommends adding the code below to your .htaccess file to prevent bots from accessing wp-comments-post.php directly.
I wasn’t sure if doing so is necessary when using wpDiscuz instead of the core comments.
