Doesn't add new users to the WordPress Users database table

I am looking for a plugin that would add new users to the WordPress Users database table. This one doesn’t/

This plugin seems really great though, if you don’t mind that the new users are put in a separate table from those that the Admin, Editor, Author, Contributor, or Subscriber, would be in.

I would also love to find a plugin that allows a very simple registration process (username and password only), and then have more optional fields to fill out in edit profile. Most that I’ve found so far, have the same form for registration, as the edit profile.
