• Hello
Why does the “Become a teacher” functionality not work automatically, without admin approval .
    The necessary conditions are met:
    1. When registering, the user clicks on the “Become a teacher” checkbox
    2. In the admin panel, the following is selected: LearnPress > Settings > General Enable the “Allow Instructors Registration” option

What needs to be done to make this mechanism work???

    Thank you, With best wishes

    Hi jul13,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question!

Currently, LearnPress requires admin approval for the “Become a teacher” functionality even when all the necessary conditions are met. This design ensures that administrators maintain control over the number and quality of instructors on the site.

By reviewing and approving each request manually, administrators can verify the qualifications of potential teachers and maintain the overall standards of the platform.

If you have additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

    Best regards,
    Brianvu-tp

Why not leave it to the discretion of the site owners? so that you can choose
Besides, this mechanism already works when selecting a new user in the field (by default) -LP Instructor
But unfortunately then all users become instructors

    Hi jul13,

    Thank you for your feedback!

We understand your concern and agree that the flexibility to allow site owners to control this setting can be valuable. However, due to the extensive permissions associated with the Instructor role—which include managing courses and potentially affecting site security—we’ve implemented admin approval as a safeguard to ensure proper oversight.

That said, LearnPress is designed to be flexible, and with some coding knowledge, it’s possible to customize the functionality to fit your specific needs.

Let us know how we can assist further!

    Best regards,
    Brianvu-tp
