Thanks for contacting me. I’m not sure why this is happening. Before looking at your site I was thinking another transparent element may be layered over the top of it, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’m not able to replicate this issue in my testing either.
Can you confirm that the Ditty/Displays settings are saved with “Pause the ticker on mouse over” checked?
What version of Ditty are you using?

Hi, thanks for replying!
Ditty – Version 3.1.18
Under DISPLAY, GENERAL, “Pause the ticker on mouse over” is indeed checked, yes.
I also created a display Template and use that in the Settings but that isn’t changing anything.
Thanks for your help, I need it. 🙂
Andre
Thanks for the info. Could you run through the following document to see if there are any potential conflicts on your site? https://www.metaphorcreations.com/article/general/plugins/test-plugin-conflicts/
Also, could you try add the Ditty directly to a basic sample page with a shortcode to see if anything acts differently?
More more thing you can try. De-select the hover checkbox and save your Ditty. Then select it again and Save.

Deselecting and saving and reselecting and saving does nothing to permit pause on hover. Will look at the other link you shared.
Thank you!
Ok, thanks for the update. Did you get a chance to try running the Ditty through a shortcode added to a page (not in the header)?

Actually, I added the ticker via a widget in the header. But just now I went to look and saw this option as well: ” Select a custom display to use with the Ditty.” So I selected a template I had saved and now it’s working.
Thank you for your help!
Incidentally, do you have anything in your products that could help with custom post types categories? I don’t seem to be able to display a list of posts connected to these categories. Only the Articles (regular posts) offer a list of posts, all the rest show an error message saying there’s is nothing to show.
Just thought I’d ask.
Cheers!
Good to hear, thanks for letting me know! I’ll have to do some more digging to see if I can replicate the issue with custom display settings.
The Ditty Posts extension would allow you to display posts from custom post types and filtered by custom taxonomies: https://www.metaphorcreations.com/wordpress-plugins/ditty-posts/ by using the built-in taxonomy settings.
If you decide to purchase and have any questions, please feel free to contact me (there’s a support forum for paid products on metaphorcreations.com).
