We’re having the same problem with one of our membership sites. This is what our customer service rep says happens:
“Just got off the phone with a student who is unable to reply to other posts in the forum via her Samsung Galaxy phone. I tried to do a test reply via the QP and IE 9WK forums on my iPhone 6 and am not able to reply either. The ‘Reply’ buttons are gray and when you tap on one, it turns blue … but that’s it. No box to reply; nothing else happens. Posting a regular comment = no issues. It’s only when trying to reply to someone else.”

Please let me know if you can figure out what is happening with the plugin that is not allowing the user to reply to comments.

Or you have the same problem as me. I investicated it further and the problem seemed to be that everytime the button was clicked a 401 code was generated. It was an authorisation problem that was caused by the wordpress captcha. I modifed the htacces file of my site and that seemed tot do the trick.
If this is the case, you have the same problem when using your site with the browser in incognito mode.
