I figured out that the plugin expects me to use the_content() function. Is there anyway to display just the widget portion? What if I have a custom area I want to display just the widget, like in a fixed sidebar?
Hi Chris, thanks for contacting us. If I understand correctly what you want to get to work is the snapskout offers plugin. Normally the plugin just works out of the box, however, the key trick is that it will only display if it is able to identify content that can be linked to offers in the content you publish, otherwise the plugin sits hidden.
In order to proceed forward, could you provide us a bit more info? We would need:
– What theme are you running?
– Which server / OS?
– Which WP version.
– Your wp site address.
I would suggest you send us this information instead of sharing it in this public forum. You can email us directly at [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you.
Thanks again
Hi Chris,
If you would like to verify that the Snap Skout widget is working in your sharebar, you can do this trick to see a mock version of the widget on your site. It won’t affect the site presentation for any other visitors.
On a page that has the Snap Skout Sharebar installed, in the URL at the end of URL after the ? type in debug=oup. Then you will need a mock version of the Snap Skout plugin.
For example, for the following site:
http://blog.offeredup.com/wonderful-washington-wines/
Change the URL to:
http://blog.offeredup.com/wonderful-washington-wines/?debug=oup
If you have any other questions, we are here to help.
Thanks,
Snap Skout Team
