    Hi,

    i can’t get this plugin to run. Now i’m overwhelmed with spam comments. The hCaptcha Box shows but it doesn’t work, making it easy to bypass the mechanism and just send the comment. Error is “hCaptcha failed to load due to site errors”

    It looks like your site is using a Consent Management Platform (cookie/GPDR banner) that rewrites script tags. These tools remove the original src attribute and replace it with data-cmp-src, adding classes like cmplazyload. When that happens, the hCaptcha API script never loads, so the widget cannot initialize.

    To fix this, please check your cookie/consent plugin (Complianz, CookieYes, Cookiebot, OneTrust, etc.) and mark https://js.hcaptcha.com/1/api.js as a functional/necessary script or add hCaptcha to the list of allowed services. Once the CMP allows the script to load normally, hCaptcha will work again.
