    Hi.
    Thanks for this plugin.
I’ve used it on another site with great success

Right now I”m using it on one site of a multisite but am having a problem:

When I install it and activate it, it works great for everyone.
But when I disable it and then activate it again, it no longer works.
    This is what it does:
If you go to the home page, it takes you to the home page without force login.
If you try to go to another page after that, then it forces you to login.

If I uninstall the plugin and reinstall it, then it works fine again.
So it’s breaking after disabling it.

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Louanna

This is strange – could it be a caching issue?

If you go to the home page, it takes you to the home page without force login.
If you try to go to another page after that, then it forces you to login.

What happens if you try to go to the home page again after you tried the other page (and got redirected)? I’m wondering if something gets cleared after you try visiting another page or if the home page is just always accessible (no matter how many times you try)?

When I install it and activate it, it works great for everyone.
But when I disable it and then activate it again, it no longer works.

Why are you deactivating it and then re-activating it? Will you ever just leave it activated or deactivated?

Also, I assume you’re only activating and deactivating on individual sites and not network wide? And you’re not accidentally activating/deactivating network wide sometimes but individually other times?

It sounds to me like there is an issue with the homepage but otherwise it does work after re-activating it.

I’d look into why it doesn’t force login for the homepage. Maybe there is another plugin, or your theme, which is causing a conflict with Force Login on the homepage only.

Is there anything unique about your homepage that you could look into? Like any special things being loaded (or not loaded) on the homepage only?

I was activating / deactivating because I’m working with support on a plugin and they need access to the site.
However for me to test the site, I need the force login activated. It’s a pain.
Eventually, it will be activated and left that way.

It seems to be happening if you were logged in when you left the site last time.
I’m having trouble duplicating the problem at this moment.
What does it to do for you?

Ah, I see – couldn’t you give the support you’re working with their own login, so you can leave Force Login activated?

Anyway– when I tried to visit your site, it sent me directly to the login screen.

I’m leaning toward this being a caching issue for you; but regardless, I don’t think this is an issue with Force Login.

Thanks for using Force Login and good luck!
