My fix was to disable all ESC modules and then enable them again.
Disabling and enabling the plugin(s) did not help on several websites (6 in all). Have the pro-version (unlimited) of ecs, too.
“Crash” on frontend means for me, that
a) Elementors switch for showing containers on desktop or mobile view (under “Responsive”) won’t work (containers show up on all devices) and
b) the tiles of all loops won’t be clickable to view the article behind this loop-item.
Additionally, I get each time I reload the plugins page in backend the note to update ecs pro to 4.1.4 – which already sucessfully happened before.

Have you tried to disable “Element Cache” in the Elementor performance settings?
Thanks for this hint. Tried it, didn’t work. Additionally diabled (and enabled again) the ECS-Legacy module and now my loop-tiles are clickable again.
Now the remaining issues are the ignoring of showing/hiding containers based on the output-device (“Responsive” in Elementor-Editor) and the remaining note to update ECS pro to 4.1.4 – which is useless because 4.1.4 is already installed.
Will continue testing …
Hi, both issues mentioned here are now fixed.
The responsive containers showing on all devices was fixed in ECS 4.1.7. The Container Layout CSS was overriding Elementor’s visibility classes.
The false update notification is also resolved. Please update ECS to the latest version and let us know if anything else comes up!
