I am having the same issue. When I updated to version 1.6.1:, the safety exit button disappears. I reverted back 1.6.0 in the meantime.

No update yet. I havent had much time to work on anything other than my 9 – 5 job haha. My goal is to have a fix for this out by Sunday afternoon at latest. I’ve got everything I need so far to debug it and get it fixed, other than time haha.

Hey everyone, I’m looking into this issue and I think I might have found the issue but want to confirm. Could you all when you get a chance post a screenshot (link to it I guess) of your “Divi theme builder” settings page? You can get to it by going to “Divi” > “Theme Builder”.
I’m specifically interested in if any of your templates have the global header or footer disabled. Removing one or both of the global headers / footer appears to cause Divi to remove the default “wp_body_open” hook which was added in wordpress 5.2.0. Seeing your screenshots will confirm this theory for me.
I’ve been in communication with the Divi support so I’ll let them know my findings and see if they are willing to fix the bug on their end or if I need to add a work around.

Also if anyone is feeling like testing a fix let me know. I added an option to render the button in the “footer” function which seems to fix the bug with Divi for now. Just download the zip and install it on your site. In the settings for the plugin go and check “Render in footer” at the bottom of the page.
If that all works well I can promote and you’ll get an update notification from wordpress.

The 1.6.2-beta is not working for me on my Divi site. I will note that I have BOTH the global header & footer enabled. I nearly do on every Divi site I work with (40+). However, the 1.6.0 still works.
I updated to 1.6.1 and removed my global header & footer temporarily, which DID fix it. However, we are willing to lose the functionality that the global styles in the theme give us. I apologize for that. Let me know if you need anything else. I am willing to give you admin access if you want to mess around. I have a backup, I trust ya. 🙂
