• If I could give this zero stars, I would. I tested this a few times before I used it to receive pie orders for our bakery. It seemed fine. After I launched it, I had customers call and complain because I hadn’t confirmed their order. I lost several sales because of this awful form builder.

After that fiasco, I had about ten people test it. Most orders were not received. Avoid. It’s pretty clunky to use anyway.

I am sorry that Visual Form Builder is causing problems for you. Can I work with you on your problem? If you are interested here is a link for the support forum. http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/visual-form-builder

Hey, honestly it’s a little late. Today was the pick-up date for all of our Christmas pies, and we had customers calling us all morning asking why we hadn’t confirmed with them yet. I think the form only emailed us the submission 2/6 times that it logged submissions, which should be fine because there’s the logger, but it only logged submissions 6/16+ times I had someone test it (plus these phone calls we got this morning…not sure how many people didn’t get an order through all in all, but we got a number of phone calls). Most people report seeing a line that said “Your form was successfully submitted. Thank you for contacting us.”

I tested it several times before it went out but never had success from a computer that I hadn’t used as a log-in for WordPress. I was not logged in every time I submitted a form, but the computers I used when the form successfully logged entries were all computers that I’ve used for our site dev at some point. Not sure if that’s relevant.

I know how awful it feels to not have something work (I feel badly about this form for our customers, and I’ve done a lot of programming – when stuff doesn’t work the way it should, it’s a terrible feeling). Working it out would mostly be for you at this point – I have neither a way nor a need to test its functionality now that our Christmas sales are over. If it would help you out though, I’m happy to work with you.

I hear ya. It’s much more helpful to ask for support before you leave a one-star review, though.

If you are still interested in using the plugin, you can check the FAQ for common issues and solutions. Or you can create a new topic and I’ll be happy to help.

I did check the FAQ for common issues and solutions and my issue didn’t seem to be among them? And while I agree it’s often best to ask for support beforehand, respectfully, I needed a plug-in that worked with a level of time sensitivity. This one didn’t, so based on what was advertised and what I needed, it was worth one star.

Like I said, if working through this particular issue with me would help you serve people in the future, I’m open to it. Obviously this is not a terribly common problem, but it was quite significant for our business.
