Hi Victor,
I’m sorry you’re having problems with the plugin.
Is the plugin working otherwise? Have you checked to see if any current plugins utilize/modify gravatar in some way?
I have the same issue and as soon as i disable this plugin the site works again.
There are no other plugins that touch the Gravatar or author fields. I am running the Genesis framework, but that shouldn’t matter.
I am also having the same problem. The image does not show when I upload and save it in the user profile (admin). All it will show is the Gravatar logo. Regardless of whether I change that gravatar image (I tried that too).
Running on the Genesis framework.
I have this running fine on other sites but have not uploaded/edited any user profiles since 3.8 update.
Obviously it’s a problem and the latency in support is a deal breaker – switching to another plug-in now and giving it two stars.
In the future, I would like to see more context when describing the installation process – not everyone using your plug-in is a developer. Consider how you would guide your grandmother through the process.
Also – don’t blame the user when they request support. ‘Sorry you are having problems’ is an indication that you didn’t provide enough information for the lay person to use your plug-in and it sounds really condescending.
Hi PhilipHastings,
I’m sorry the free plugin you’re using on a free CMS is not updated and worked on to your specifications. I’ll do everything I can to remedy the situation.
For everyone else, 1.4 is out and contains a lot of fixes, not the least of which addresses the 3.8 problems you are all having. Thank you for your patience with all of this!
– Jesse
