    Hello –

Firstly, nice work on the plugin.

I set it up on a few site mainly to monitor for available plugin updates, and after not receiving anything I started to poke around more.

It appears that having WP Defender Pro from WPMU (https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wp-defender/) prevents plugin update and user login notifications from being triggered. I am using Defender Pro for 2FA and have only its bare minimum featured enabled. Whereas I create a Page Update notification as a test and that works fine. When I disable Defender Pro, the user login notification begins working, though I can’t specific speak to the plugin update notification.

For what it’s worth, I also use the “Simple History” plugin which keeps a log of all site actions, and that catches all user and plugin activity with Defender Pro activated or not. So while I am not a plugin developer, it seems like Defender Pro is not preventing other plugins from hooking into those events.

I will report this issue to WPMU as well, in case they can shed any light.
