Domain Mapping (Sub Domain)

    Hi there,

    I’ve installed the WP multi-site feature, and also installed the WP Domain Mapping plugin – as suggested on this page and other pages.

    I’ve created a Wildcard DNS sub-domain (*.website.com) and have added a domain to be mapped. In this case fr.website.com

    The website I am working with has a top level domain, and sub domains branching off it. I want to be able to use the one installation.

    When I go to fr.website.com – it goes to a the site which is currently installed (fronted by index.html). When I go to fr.website.com/wp-admin it says not found.

    I have separate installations on a usa.website.com account and wp-admin seems to work, so I’m not sure where I’m going wrong here.

    Any ideas?

    In your web host control panel you need to park the domain (or subdomain) you want to map onto your WP install.
