Hello, I’m having trouble fixing my WP site.

My site can be found at mybicol.com, but everytime I enter, it redirects to mybicol.com/2014. I tried moving the files from the subdirectory to the root, but godaddy keeps telling me it’s already at the root. I checked the WP links on my settings, and both urls are pointing to mybicol.com.

I have no idea how to fix this as I didn’t originally set this up. I was just given access to revamp the site. When I try to install themes and activate them (and plugins), there is no change whatsoever. This tells me I’m editing the main site, but it clearly points to somewhere else.

Check “Site URL” and “Home URL” fields of your WordPress database table “wp_options”, and remove the sub directory URL if it is already added there. If both are correct, then check .htaccess file if any redirection is set in the file.

IF anyone’s experiencing the same problem, we got it fixed. I just installed WordPress in a new folder, zipped the contents, transferred it to my root, extracted, then changed the links in WordPress dashboard.

^ The solution above worked after the whole transfer. 🙂 However, the .htaccess thing did not.
