    We’ve been using Give WP for some time, and came to find our donation form showing the loading indicator an not loading the form. Console shows 500 server error.

    There is an error in the logs:

    Description:Target class [Faker\Generator] does not exist.
    Category:Uncaught Exception
    Source:Give Core
    Date & Time:2024-11-10 22:07:48
    Error details:{ “exception”: { “File”: “Container.php”, “Line”: 668, “Message”: “Target class [Faker\\Generator] does not exist.”, “Code”: 0 } }

    We are using the shortcode directly in the template via do_shortcode()

    any help in getting this donation form back online is greatly appreciated

    Deactivating the Give Fee Recovery plugin restored the donation form.. any thoughts?

    Hi @revive ,

    Glad you reached out! Happy to help with this one.

    Moreover, please excuse the slow turnaround here.

    Thanks for sending that log, it’s precisely what I needed. This is a recent bug we discovered. We removed some code called “Faker library”; however, we missed the fact that it’s used in the form migration process. The good news is the correction for that went out in our most recent version, which is 3.18.0. If you can update your main GiveWP plugin, you should be able to complete a form migration without receiving that error.

    If this doesn’t solve it, and since you mentioned that you also have Fee Recovery (which is a premium plugin that we cannot support in here), we would like to dig deeper to understand what is happening.

    Can you reach out to us via our contact form at https://givewp.com/contact-us/? Use the option that says, “I am responding to a request to contact you.” Provide the link to this thread as context, your system info, etc. and we will happily help you.

    I’m marking it as resolved here, and please contact us on that form if you’re experiencing this issue.

    Thank you for using GiveWP!

    Have a wonderful day!
