• Update: the issue is fixed

For the developer: I hope that you are already aware that after last woocomerce update it identifies some tables in the database as not used. If you delete any of these tables, you will crash your shop…it took 1 full hour of my time yesterday to restore a customer site, and it was the customer who notices the failure. Thanks god is not a technical person…

I know that you warn about making a backup before deleting tables, but to identify essential tables as not essential is a major failure…

  • Hi Juan,

    We apologise for the inconvenience.

The latest version has this issue fixed.
The list of plugins and databases isn’t a feature that contains all plugins and all tables at all times, as this is impossible.
But the list is updated with what is found on the ww.wp.xz.cn repository at the time of release. So when plugins include new tables, they might not be detected until our plugin is updated.

With WooCommerce, it so happened that they used table names already used in an other plugin, which caused the confusion.

WooCommerce have worked on their side to automatically fix the issue when the tables are deleted.

    Best,
    Marc.
