• Please help! I have used Doteasy to host my site for years and have always been happy with their service. I recently upgraded my package with them and installed WordPress on my site. Everything was working smoothly (posting, creating pages, permalinks, etc.) until out of no where my entire site displays a 500 Internal Server Error.

I have contacted tech support at Doteasy and have been told the following: “After further investigation, it appears that there was a bug on your scripts causing the instability with the server performance. We will submit a request to have the PHP enabled for you. However, please make sure that your update your WordPress scripts to patch this bug once the PHP is re-enabled.

Please note that if the scripting issue remains unresolved, we may be disabling the PHP feature for the site to protect the server performance where your account is hosted on.”

I am REALLY hoping someone else has run into ( and more importantly — solved) this script bug issue, and can direct me to the solution.

The version of WordPress I am using is the latest stable release (Version 2.1.3).

Upon further investigation, I was told the error came from my use of <?php require(‘../../wp-blog-header.php’);?> on pages that I wanted to include sidebar.php, but are not wordpress pages. This is what I have used before, and it worked splendidly.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
